The New Year is right in front of us. As the sun comes up, it brings New Beginnings!
We can look at what is behind us, and if there is something we want to work on this year, we can begin fresh. Thoughts of change are not bad because they help us create new ways of doing something in the future.
We call these changes resolutions, and set them for ourselves at the beginning of a period in which we try again. After a short time, we forget, or lose interest. So let’s begin again at the very beginning of your life…
Psalms 139:13-16 (ESV) (God) You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written everyone of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.
Notice that God formed you while you were in your mother’s womb….He knitted together all the pieces into their rightful places for good function. They coordinate with one another and sometimes the various parts have a variety of uses or functions.
You were so special that God took the initiative to work on you…as He saw your unformed substance early on.
And…He wrote in a book all your days. The days of your life in 2018 have been written down in a book before God.
I am so glad that God has chosen to reveal to me…all the days of my life, so that I can find New Beginnings in the year ahead. Just another few hours and you begin anew. You start all over!
